All’s Eye: A New Super Trio featuring Kris Yunker, Ari Joshua, & Ben Atkind drops its first single and announces November East Coast run.
All’s Eye is a newly formed super trio of musical equals, creating an unmistakably original sound casting a wide range stylistically. Kris and Ari played a few shows at Jazz Fest in NOLA a few years back and discovered there was a palpable energy and chemistry. With a little encouragement from a Colorado based podcast, talk of joining forces were underway and almost like magic after a few phone calls the trio was formed. The trio met for a few performances and a recording at an overnight recording facility in Connecticut, the collective talents of guitarist Ari Joshua, Ben Atkind on drums, and Kris Yunker on keys are on display in the 15 songs they tracked in a few days. Each of these musicians are of the highest caliber in their own right. They come together to play the omniverse of rock n roll, jazz music, and psychedelic derivative jam music. From boogaloo funk organ soul all the way to heady epic original arrangements to everything in between it’s recommended that folks check out a show when you can. Recently recorded music will be released as singles over the next 6 months on the Music Factory Record Label leading up to a volume of work. Together, they’ve crafted a sound that’s entirely their own, rooted in spontaneity and exploration and original compositions.
Kris Yunker has recently collaborated, recorded, or performed on stage with the following: Alan Evans (Soulive, Alan Evans Trio), Danny Mayer (On The Spot Trio), Andrew Klein (On The Spot Trio), Joe Marcinek (Joe Marcinek Band), Nate Edgar (The Nth Power), Brian Thomas (horn player), Alex Lee-Clark (horn player), Jared Sims (horn player), Ben Atkind (former Goose drummer), Ari Joshua (multi-genre guitarist), Rick Mitarotonda (Goose), George Porter Jr. (The Meters), Jen Durkin (Deep Banana Blackout). This list highlights Yunker’s versatility, as he spans funk, jazz, and jam genres while collaborating with prominent musicians from both established and emerging bands. Let me know if you’d like details on any specific projects!
